The matcher pairs every tutee who wants help with a tutor each week, so it reaches the students who would never walk up to a Grade 12 and ask.
Marks are the point, and the help fits the paper.
A tutor who wrote the same paper last year, in the same room, explains it the way it was taught here. Schools on the plan with mark tracking can watch term marks against goals.
Tutors learn it twice.
Explaining a topic to someone a grade below is the most reliable way to find out whether you actually understand it. The tutors' own marks are part of the picture.

PeerUp keeps the record: who met, when, for how long, verified by a QR scan. It doesn't supervise in person. Sessions happen on school premises, in a venue and at times your school sets and oversees, the same as any other student activity on campus.
